Key Responsibilities
• Provide direct nursing care to adult patients undergoing cancer treatment in the oncology unit or ward.
• Assess, monitor, and document patients’ conditions, vital signs, and responses to treatments.
• Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other oncology-related medications as prescribed.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions or side effects from cancer treatments and report any changes promptly.
• Assist physicians during oncology procedures and treatment plans.
• Educate patients and their families about cancer treatments, medication management, symptom control, and lifestyle adjustments.
• Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families throughout the treatment journey.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, treatment plans, and progress.
• Ensure strict adherence to infection control policies, safety standards, and oncology protocols.
• Collaborate with oncologists, pharmacists, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized patient care plans.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development programs.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Oncology Nursing in a hospital setting.
• Experience in chemotherapy administration and oncology patient care is required.
• Valid nursing license from home country.
• Eligibility for nursing license in Dubai (DHA eligibility, license, or willingness to obtain).
• Strong knowledge of oncology treatments, patient care protocols, and symptom management.
• Excellent communication, compassion, and patient care skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Oncology nursing certification is an advantage.
• Experience in tertiary care or internationally accredited hospitals is preferred.
• Willing to work in Dubai, UAE.
