Bank Nurse at Sycamore Lodge - £24.31 per hour

Shaw healthcare is looking for a Nurse to join the team in Sycamore Lodge, Nailsea.

You will join a team that is fully committed to making a difference to the lives of those who we provide care for. You will be using the latest care technology that will enable you to spend more time with the service users that you care for. About The Service

Sycamore Lodge, situated in Nailsea, Bristol, care for up to 78 older people, including those living with dementia.

The focal point of the care centre is the spectacular atrium which cascades natural daylight into the heart of the building enabling residents and their families to have that sense of outdoors all year round.

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Care Home Nurse to join our team in providing high-quality care to our elderly service users with conditions such as Alzheimer's, Dementia, Parkinson’s or other clinical diagnoses. The successful candidate will work closely with our team of care professionals to ensure that our service users receive the best possible care.

Key Responsibilities

Assessing patients' health and care needs and developing care plans

Administering medication and monitoring services users response

Providing nursing care, including wound care and palliative care

Liaising with other healthcare professionals to coordinate personalised care

Supporting service users with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and toileting

Providing emotional support to service users and their families

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records

Working within the Care Quality Commission (CQC) guidelines to ensure high standards of care

Contributing to the development and implementation of policies and procedures

Participating in the induction and ongoing training of new staff members

Qualifications And Experience

NMC registered nurse

Experience working in elderly care, including caring for patients with Alzheimer's and other dementia-related conditions

Knowledge of the Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations and standards

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Ability to work independently and use own initiative

Commitment to continuing professional development

Salary: £24.31 per hour

Working Hours: Bank Contract (zero hours). Day and night shifts available (07:45-20:15 and 20:00-08:00)
