Key responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive preoperative assessments, including thorough evaluations of medical history and necessary physical exams
Formulate individualized anesthesia plans tailored to the specific needs of patients undergoing cardiac surgical procedures
Administer anesthesia and continuously monitor the patient's vital signs and hemodynamic status during surgery
Utilize advanced monitoring techniques to ensure cardiovascular stability throughout the procedure
Collaborate effectively with the surgical team and other healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care
Identify and manage any intraoperative complications or emergencies that may arise
Oversee recovery from anesthesia, ensuring effective pain management and patient safety
Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on the latest advancements in cardiac anesthesia
Requirements
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
Completed residency in anesthesiology
Fellowship training in cardiac anesthesia is highly preferred
Active medical license to practice in the relevant state
A minimum of 3 years of experience in cardiac anesthesia
Demonstrated ability to manage anesthetic care for complex cardiac cases
Strong knowledge of invasive monitoring techniques and hemodynamic principles
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
