General Requirements

GNM or B.Sc. Nursing

Specialist trained and registered Midwife

Registered Nurse Midwife at a Licensing Authority

Minimum 5 years of nursing practice in a 150-bedded hospital within the last 5 years

Good English communication skills

Minimum score of IELTS 5.5 or OET score C (for expats)

Previous experience as Team Leader or Senior Nurse

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Job Specification

Act as a direct support to the Head Nurse and take responsibility as assigned in the unit

Supervise and monitor clinical care services for guests

Ensure staff maintain own clinical records and reports

Proficient in all clinical and psychomotor skills relevant to the chosen field

Demonstrate competency in unit specific competencies

Observe and ensure infection control guidelines and policies are adhered to

Ensure management of equipment and resources effectively and efficiently

Identify potential variances and high clinical risk situations

Implementing effective management strategies

Mentor and support all members of the nursing team

Ensure staff are practicing within their identified scope of practice

Utilize quick decision making skills to clinically manage unpredicted acute situations

Participate in the clinical development, review and assessments of clinical practice

Assessments of nursing competence of all members of the clinical team

Responsible for ensuring safe and high level of nursing care is delivered
