Roles & Responsibilities

-REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

1. Hold a Bachelor degree in dietetics and nutrition from an accredited college (Master’s degree is desirable).

2. Certificate in intermediate or advanced HACCP is desirable.

3. Hold a Dietetic practice license from the MOPH.

4. 5+ years of experience in the same field.

- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Clinical Nutrition

1. Assess inpatients’ nutritional needs according to established standards and related policy and supervise the implementation of the appropriate requested diet orders and special diet orders.

2. Respond to consultations and patients’ complaints.

• Food Service

1. Supervise the implementation of the policies and procedures, and the compliance of employees with legal requirements/standards of food safety, hygiene, HACCP, ISO and JCI standards and advising management on needed actions.

2. Inspect meals ahead of service time and assure food safety and quality control measures

are taken.

3. Monitor and control patient delivery time to ensure a quick, efficient and courteous service for patients.

4. Inspect all work area to ensure cleanliness and sanitation requirements are maintained all the time as per standards.

5. Audit the daily activities of food production to assure proper storage, handling and production.

6. Monitor the tray line on different serving time.

7. Assist in planning menus in coordination with the chefs and the manager of dietary department.

8. Assist in developing and implementing continuous education and training plan for all kitchen and cafeteria staff.

• Nutrition and dietetic training program

1. Assist the manager in developing and implementing the dietetic internship program and manual.

2. Supervise the interns during floor’s rotations and approves the nutritional management plan suggested by them.

3. Assist in the performance evaluation of the dietetic interns.

1. Hold a Bachelor degree in dietetics and nutrition from an accredited college (Master s degree is desirable).
