JOB DESCRIPTION:-
(CHI) is leading on the clinical and operational transformation of acute paediatric healthcare and consists of hospitals at Crumlin, Temple Street and Tallaght as well as an Urgent Care Centre at Connolly hospital in Blanchardstown.

Description
Purpose of the Role
The post holder has a pivotal role in co-ordination and management of activity and resources within the clinical area. The main responsibilities are staffing and staff development resource management, facilitating communication and professional/clinical and ethical leadership. Support the philosophy and the mission statement of the hospital. With the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) handle all grievance /disciplinary matters which are brought to your attention. Ensure confidentiality on all matters and information obtained during the course employment.
Essential Criteria:
Be registered in the Childrens or General Division of the Register of Nurses kept by Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland) or be entitled to be so registered;
Have at least 5 years post registration experience (or an aggregate of 5 years fulltime post registration experience) of which 2 years must be in the speciality of acute paediatric care;
Have the clinical, managerial and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role;
Candidates must possess the requisite knowledge and ability including a high standard of suitability and clinical, managerial and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role;
On appointment, practitioners must maintain live annual registration on the relevant division of the Register of Nurses and Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann);
Confirm annual registration with NMBI to the HSE by way of the annual Patient Safety Assurance Certificate (PSAC).
