Consultant Adult Emergency Medicine

Government hospitals in Al Ain are seeking experienced Consultant Emergency Medicine physicians to join their Adult Emergency Departments. The role involves delivering high-quality, timely emergency care within a high-volume public healthcare system, supported by modern facilities and multidisciplinary teams.

The successful candidate will provide consultant-level emergency medical services while contributing to clinical governance, quality improvement, and service development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Provide consultant-level assessment, diagnosis, and management of adult emergency cases

Lead resuscitation and acute care for critically ill and injured patients

Manage high-acuity presentations, including medical and traumatic emergencies

Supervise and support junior medical staff and emergency department teams

Participate in shift-based emergency cover as per departmental rota

Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation

Participate in clinical governance, audit, morbidity and mortality reviews, and quality improvement activities

Collaborate with inpatient teams, specialties, and allied healthcare professionals

Ensure compliance with hospital policies, government regulations, and accreditation standards

Desired Candidate Profile

Recognized specialist qualification in Emergency Medicine

Consultant-level experience in adult emergency care

Eligibility for consultant licensing with the relevant UAE health authority (DOH or equivalent)

Strong experience in high-acuity emergency medicine

Excellent clinical decision-making, leadership, and communication skills

Experience in government or high-volume emergency departments is an advantage
