This role is integral to advancing the field of cardiac surgery through clinical excellence and innovation. As a consultant, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality surgical care while also contributing to the training and education of future surgical leaders.

Key responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive evaluations and diagnostics for patients with cardiovascular conditions.

Perform complex cardiac surgical procedures, including but not limited to, open-heart surgeries, minimally invasive techniques, and heart transplants.

Collaborate with a team of specialists to optimize patient care and outcomes through multidisciplinary approaches.

Provide oversight in pre-operative and post-operative management of surgical patients to ensure full recovery and follow-up care.

Engage in clinical research activities to contribute to the advancement of cardiac surgery practices.

Participate in educational programs for residents and medical students, fostering the development of the next generation of cardiac surgeons.

Requirements

Qualifications:

In-depth knowledge of cardiac anatomy, surgical procedures, and patient care protocols.

Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in an academic environment.

Demonstrated ability to manage complex surgical cases and lead surgical teams effectively.

Commitment to research and a passion for education in the medical field.

Previous experience in an academic setting is highly desirable.
