This role involves providing specialized surgical care for patients with cardiac disorders as part of a respected government health institution. The successful candidate will be a key player in enhancing healthcare delivery and ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and care.

Key responsibilities:

Conduct thorough evaluations and diagnostics for patients presenting with cardiac issues.

Perform a range of cardiac surgical procedures, including but not limited to, coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), valve surgeries, and transplant surgery.

Work closely with a diverse team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.

Oversee pre-operative assessments and post-operative care for effective patient recovery.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical research projects within the healthcare group.

Provide education and mentorship to surgical residents and junior physicians in cardiac surgical techniques and patient management.

Requirements

Qualifications:

M.D. or D.O. with board certification in cardiac surgery.

A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in clinical cardiac surgery.

Comprehensive understanding of cardiac pathophysiology and surgical procedures.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Proven aptitude for managing complex surgical cases and making critical clinical decisions.

Dedication to continuous improvement and staying current with advancements in cardiac surgery.

Experience in academic settings, including teaching roles, is preferable.
