Primary responsibilities

Perform pre-operative evaluations to assess and prepare patients for surgery

Execute a range of general surgical procedures, ensuring adherence to safety and procedural protocols

Oversee post-operative care, closely monitoring patient recovery and managing any complications that may arise

Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients

Educate and guide patients and their families on treatment options, pre-surgery preparation, and post-operative care

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to clinical research and education

Stay updated with advancements in surgical techniques and medical technologies

Maintain accurate documentation of all patient interactions and surgical activities

Requirements

Medical Doctor (MD) or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution

Completion of an accredited General Surgery residency program

Board certification in General Surgery required

A minimum of 5 years of surgical experience in a consultant capacity

Proficient in a variety of general surgical procedures and techniques

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and colleagues

Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

Commitment to continued education and professional development in the field of surgery

Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus
