Consultant Medicine (Stroke)
Location: Fujairah, United Arab Emirates
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Consultant in Stroke Medicine to join a government healthcare facility in Fujairah under the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP). The successful candidate will deliver high-quality stroke and general internal medicine care, contribute to national healthcare objectives, and work within a structured, well-supported public healthcare system.
Key Responsibilities
Provide consultant-level care for acute stroke, TIA, and cerebrovascular disorders
Manage inpatient and outpatient stroke services in line with MOHAP policies and international guidelines
Participate in acute stroke pathways, including rapid assessment and multidisciplinary decision-making
Collaborate with Emergency Medicine, Radiology, ICU, Rehabilitation, and Allied Health teams
Ensure accurate clinical documentation and compliance with government healthcare standards
Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and CME activities
Support training and supervision of junior doctors and medical staff
Contribute to public health initiatives and patient education related to stroke prevention
Eligibility & Requirements
Medical Degree with Consultant qualification in Stroke Medicine, Neurology, or Internal Medicine with stroke focus
Recognized board certification (UK CCT / GMC, US Board, Australian FRACP, Canadian, or equivalent)
Eligibility for MOHAP licensure
Minimum 3 5 years post-consultant experience
Strong experience in acute and chronic stroke management
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a government healthcare setting
