SearchPlus HR is excited to announce a unique opportunity for a consultant neonatologist at a prestigious university healthcare facility. This role is ideal for a dedicated neonatal specialist who is passionate about delivering high-quality care to critically ill newborns while contributing to academic medicine and medical education.

As a consultant neonatologist, you will oversee the care of neonates in a state-of-the-art NICU, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and engage in teaching and mentoring medical students and residents. Your expertise is crucial in diagnosing and managing complex neonatal conditions and facilitating a comprehensive care approach for families.

Key responsibilities:

Provide expert clinical care to newborns, including those with medical complexities, in a university healthcare setting.

Conduct thorough evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans based on the latest clinical guidelines and research.

Perform essential neonatal procedures with precision and care, ensuring optimal outcomes for infants.

Supervise and mentor medical students, residents, and other healthcare trainees in the NICU.

Engage in patient and family education, explaining diagnoses, treatment options, and care plans in an empathetic and understandable manner.

Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and effective care delivery.

Participate in clinical research initiatives and contribute to publications in the field of neonatology.

Involve in quality improvement projects to enhance clinical care and patient safety in the NICU.

Requirements

Demonstrated experience in a NICU setting, with proven skills in managing critically ill newborns.

Strong knowledge of current best practices and advances in neonatology.

Excellent teaching abilities and a passion for mentoring medical trainees.

Effective communication skills to engage families and healthcare team members.

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, academic healthcare environment.
