Roles & Responsibilities
A leading healthcare provider in Al Ain is seeking an experienced Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with specialist expertise in hip and total knee replacement. The role focuses on delivering high-quality elective orthopaedic surgical care, supported by modern facilities and multidisciplinary teams, in line with international standards.
This position is ideal for surgeons with a strong arthroplasty background looking to practice in a stable, well-resourced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide consultant-level orthopaedic care with a focus on hip and total knee arthroplasty
Perform elective primary (and where applicable, revision) joint replacement surgeries
Assess, diagnose, and manage orthopaedic conditions across outpatient and inpatient settings
Lead pre-operative planning and post-operative patient management
Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and care planning
Support and supervise junior medical staff and allied healthcare professionals
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and surgical records
Participate in clinical governance, audit, and quality improvement activities
Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements
Desired Candidate Profile
Requirements
Recognized specialist qualification in Orthopaedic Surgery
Fellowship training and demonstrated expertise in hip and total knee replacement
Consultant-level experience in elective orthopaedic surgery
Eligibility for consultant licensing with the relevant UAE health authority (DOH or equivalent)
Strong commitment to patient safety and clinical excellence
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
