Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon to join a leading healthcare provider in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will provide expert-level diagnosis, surgical management, and long-term care for infants, children, and adolescents with congenital, developmental, traumatic, and acquired musculoskeletal conditions.

Key Responsibilities Clinical Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient care for paediatric orthopaedic patients
Diagnose and manage congenital and developmental musculoskeletal disorders (e.g. DDH, clubfoot, limb deformities)
Perform elective and emergency paediatric orthopaedic surgeries, including trauma and corrective procedures
Manage post-operative care and long-term follow-up
Participate in on-call and emergency coverage as required
Leadership & Collaboration
Lead and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions and care planning
Supervise, mentor, and support junior doctors and allied health professionals
Maintain high standards of patient safety, quality, and clinical governance
Academic & Quality Responsibilities
Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education
Contribute to teaching, training, and professional development activities
Stay current with advances in paediatric orthopaedic surgery and evidence-based practice
Desired Candidate Profile
Medical degree from a recognized institution
Board certification / specialist qualification in Orthopaedic Surgery
Fellowship training or subspecialty certification in Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgery
Minimum 5 7 years of post-specialist consultant-level experience (depending on training pathway)
Eligibility for licensure with DOH (Abu Dhabi Department of Health)
Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage but not essential)
Experience working in a tertiary or teaching hospital
Exposure to complex paediatric deformity correction and advanced surgical techniques
International experience (UK, Ireland, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, or equivalent)
Compassionate and child-focused approach to care
Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
Commitment to clinical excellence and continuous improvement
