Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Consultant Vascular Surgeon to join a leading healthcare organization in Dubai. This role is suited to a highly skilled surgeon with broad expertise in open and endovascular vascular surgery, committed to delivering excellent patient outcomes and contributing to multidisciplinary clinical care.

The position offers a senior consultant platform within a well-established surgical service supported by modern facilities and a collaborative clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities Clinical & Surgical Practice

Provide consultant-level vascular surgery services, including elective and emergency cases

Perform open and endovascular vascular procedures in line with international best practices

Manage complex vascular conditions including peripheral arterial disease, aneurysms, carotid disease, venous disorders, and diabetic vascular complications

Conduct pre-operative assessments, informed consent, and post-operative follow-up

Multidisciplinary Collaboration

Work closely with interventional radiology, cardiology, nephrology, diabetology, and surgical teams

Participate in MDT meetings and shared decision-making for complex cases

Support peri-operative optimization and long-term patient management

Governance, Quality & Safety

Maintain compliance with DHA regulations, hospital policies, and international clinical standards

Participate in clinical audits, morbidity and mortality meetings, and quality improvement initiatives

Ensure high standards of patient safety, infection control, and surgical documentation

Teaching & Professional Development

Support training, mentoring, and supervision of junior medical staff as required

Participate in continuous professional development and maintain licensure and credentials

Desired Candidate Profile

Essential

Medical degree with specialist qualification in Vascular Surgery

Board certification / CCT / equivalent (UK, Europe, North America, Australia, or equivalent)

Proven experience at Consultant Vascular Surgeon level

Strong competency in both open and endovascular procedures

Eligibility for DHA Consultant License

Preferred

Experience in high-volume tertiary or private hospital settings

Exposure to hybrid operating theatres and advanced vascular technology

Subspecialty interests (e.g., complex aortic, venous disease, dialysis access) are an advantage
