Primary responsibilities

Quickly evaluate and treat patients experiencing acute medical issues

Administer life-saving procedures and manage critical health conditions

Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and support staff for optimal patient outcomes

Utilize diagnostic assessments to inform treatment plans

Document patient histories and care accurately within electronic medical systems

Engage in continuous medical education and stay updated on best practices in emergency medicine

Foster patient and family understanding of health conditions and treatment options

Requirements

Qualifications:

M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school

Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in emergency medicine

Board certification or eligibility in emergency medicine

Valid medical license to practice in the respective state

Preferably have prior experience in an emergency care setting

Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Able to maintain professionalism under pressure

Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends

Commitment to ongoing educational development in the field of emergency medicine
