Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Fertility Nurse role based in Clane, Co Kildare. The Fertility Nurse will provide compassionate care to patients undergoing fertility treatments, including administering medications, performing assessments, and educating patients throughout their treatment journey. Responsibilities include assisting with in vitro fertilization (IVF) procedures, closely monitoring patient progress, and working collaboratively with physicians, embryologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Fertility Nurse to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a background in fertility nursing, including hands-on experience with fertility-related scans. You will play a crucial role in providing patient care, assisting with treatments, and performing diagnostic procedures while working closely with our fertility specialists.
Key Responsibilities:
Administering fertility treatments and monitoring patients throughout their IVF and IUI cycles
Performing and interpreting scans (ultrasound, antral follicle count, endometrial lining assessment, etc.) in a clinical setting
Providing pre-treatment counseling and emotional support to patients undergoing fertility treatments
Managing patient records and ensuring accurate documentation of clinical procedures
Administering medication, injections, and other medical interventions as required
Collaborating with the medical team to ensure seamless patient care and treatment planning
Educating patients on fertility procedures, medications, and lifestyle recommendations
Assisting with the preparation and management of medical equipment
Requirements:
Registered General Nurse or Registered Midwife qualification and Registered with NMBI.
Experience in fertility nursing, including hands-on experience with diagnostic scans (ultrasound, follicular tracking, etc.)
Strong knowledge of fertility treatments (IVF, IUI, egg retrieval, etc.)
Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide compassionate care
Ability to work effectively within a team and maintain professionalism in high-pressure situations
Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and patient management software
A positive and caring attitude, with a genuine passion for helping patients through their fertility journey
Desirable:
Previous experience in a fertility clinic or reproductive health setting
Certification in fertility nursing or ultrasound (preferred but not required)
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
