Roles & Responsibilities

A General Practitioner (GP) is responsible for providing primary healthcare services to patients of all ages. The role involves diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical conditions, promoting preventive care, and ensuring overall patient well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough patient consultations, including medical history and physical examinations

Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses

Prescribe medications and manage treatment plans

Provide preventive care, health education, and lifestyle counseling

Order and interpret diagnostic tests (lab tests, X-rays, etc.)

Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as necessary

Refer patients to specialists when required

Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records

Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards

Handle emergency cases when needed
