Description

An on-call General Practitioner (GP) with a Dubai Health Authority (DHA) license in Dubai is responsible for providing high-quality, on-demand primary medical care to patients in their homes, hotels, or workplaces. These roles frequently require 24/7 flexibility, offering acute, chronic, and preventative care while traveling to patient locations.

Key responsibilities

Patient consultations & treatment: Perform comprehensive physical examinations, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic non-emergency conditions (e.g., respiratory infections, gastrointestinal issues).

Mobile healthcare delivery: Travel to homes, hotels, or workplaces to provide immediate, on-site medical care.

Diagnostic & therapeutic procedures: Order and interpret diagnostic tests, administer medication, and perform minor procedures, such as IV drip therapies, injections, and wound care.

Patient education & follow-up: Explain medical conditions, treatment options, and preventive advice to patients and their families, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.

Emergency response: Provide initial stabilization and emergency interventions before coordinating hospital transfers if necessary.

Collaboration: Work alongside nurses and support teams to ensure cohesive care delivery.

Requirements

Licensing: A valid DHA license or eligibility letter as a General Practitioner is mandatory.

Flexibility: Must be available on short notice and willing to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends (on-call only).

Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to handle diverse patient backgrounds and remain calm under pressure.

Experience: Proven experience in general practice is required; background in aesthetics and emergency care is a plus.

Private clinics/hospitals: Managing on-call duty rosters for ward rounds or emergency consultations.
