Roles & Responsibilities

· Bachelors in Nursing / Masters in Nursing

· Registered Nurse at a Licensing Authority

· Minimum 7 years in nursing practice and 2 years in a supervisory role as Head Nurse or Charge Nurse in Labor Room

· Expert knowledge of midwifery required

· Ability to plan and prioritize

· Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

· Good collaboration, communication and teamwork skills

Desired Candidate Profile

· Ensure that nursing care meets regulatory standards

· Review nursing policies and procedures

· Evaluate nursing staff performance

· Collaborate with nursing staff and management in the coordination of patient care.

· Train nursing staff and coordinate educational programs for patients and their families

· Implement quality assurance systems

· Assign and schedule activities for nursing staff

· Supervise acquisition of medical supplies and equipment needed for patient care

· Coordinate with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care

· Perform administrative and managerial functions
