The Surgical Department at the University Medical Center Erlangen with its clinics and departments (General, Visceral, Cardiac, Trauma, Plastic, Hand, Vascular, Thoracic, Urology, as well as Oral, Maxillofacial and Facial Surgery) offers an interesting insight into the complex world of modern surgery. Our nursing staff operate on wards, in the operating center, and in functional areas in the interdisciplinary team with appreciation, commitment, and high professional expertise for the benefit of patients.

The Tasks

in accordance with our nursing standards, you ensure the best possible pre- and post-operative care of our patients

for this purpose, you work cooperatively and supportively in the therapeutic team

you use the electronic patient file for performance recording and documentation and actively support the development of nursing quality

in the practical training of the various healthcare professions, you actively participate and impart knowledge and skills

you responsibly assess individual nursing needs and design the nursing process accordingly. In doing so, you orient yourself toward the resources of your patients
