Key responsibilities:
Assist in conducting pre-operative assessments to understand patients’ medical histories and anesthesia needs.
Support senior anesthesiologists in formulating and implementing anesthesia care plans for cardiac surgeries.
Participate in the administration of anesthesia under supervision during cardiac surgical procedures.
Monitor patients' vital signs and anesthetic depth during surgeries, assisting in necessary adjustments.
Contribute to post-operative recovery care, focusing on pain management and patient comfort.
Engage in educational opportunities and training sessions to enhance your skills in cardiac anesthesia.
Collaborate with surgeons and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with a valid license to practice in anesthesia.
Completion of residency training in anesthesiology.
Basic knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and anesthesia practices related to cardiac procedures.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
