Key Responsibilities

Transcribe dictated recordings from healthcare professionals into written reports, documents, and records

Edit and proofread transcriptions for accuracy and completeness

Verify and correct medical terminology, diagnoses, and procedures

Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines

Utilize transcription software and electronic health records (EHR) systems

Meet productivity and quality standards for transcription services

Requirements and Skills

Education: Post-secondary education in medical transcription or a related field

Certifications: Certification in medical transcription (RMT, CMT, or RHDS) preferred

Experience: Previous experience in medical transcription or a related field

Skills:

Strong command of medical terminology

Excellent listening and typing skills

Attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to work independently and meet productivity standards

Familiarity with transcription software and EHR systems
