Roles & Responsibilities

A leading tertiary hospital in Dubai is seeking a Consultant Neonatologist (Nocturnist) to provide specialist overnight care in a high-acuity Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

The position focuses on managing critically ill newborns during night shifts and ensuring continuous expert care within the neonatal department.

Key Responsibilities

Provide overnight clinical leadership in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

Manage premature and critically ill newborns requiring intensive care

Perform neonatal procedures such as intubation, ventilation management, and central line placement

Monitor and stabilize high-risk neonates

Coordinate care with obstetric, pediatric, and NICU teams

Support neonatal resuscitation during high-risk deliveries

Supervise junior doctors and NICU staff during night shifts

Ensure adherence to neonatal care protocols and patient safety standards

Desired Candidate Profile

Board Certification / Fellowship in Neonatology

Recognized Consultant-level qualification

DHA license or eligibility preferred

Minimum 5 7 years NICU experience

Experience working in Level III or Level IV NICU units
