Key Responsibilities

Perform detailed assessments and diagnosis of patients with kidney disease and related conditions.

Develop individualized treatment strategies and follow-up care plans.

Manage patients on dialysis, including home dialysis therapy.

Educate patients and their families on kidney health, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications.

Participate in collaborative care with other healthcare providers for comprehensive patient management.

Engage in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives within the nephrology field.

Maintain updated and accurate medical records in accordance with healthcare regulations.

Requirements

Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited medical school.

Completed residency training in internal medicine and a fellowship in nephrology.

Board certification in nephrology or eligibility required.

Current medical license to practice in the state.

3-5 years of clinical nephrology experience preferred.

Exceptional clinical and diagnostic skills in nephrology.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient and team interactions.

Ability to work effectively in a cooperative and team-oriented environment.

Commitment to continuous professional development in the field of nephrology.

Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and other healthcare technology.
