Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and highly qualified Consultant Neurologist to join a reputable healthcare provider in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will provide expert neurological care for adult patients, managing a broad spectrum of acute and chronic neurological disorders within inpatient and outpatient settings.

Key Responsibilities Clinical Responsibilities
Diagnose and manage acute and chronic neurological conditions, including stroke, epilepsy, headache disorders, movement disorders, neuromuscular diseases, and multiple sclerosis
Provide inpatient consultations, outpatient clinics, and emergency neurological care
Interpret and utilize neurological investigations such as EEG, EMG/NCS, MRI, CT, and neurophysiology studies
Lead and participate in stroke and neuro-emergency pathways as required
Develop individualized management and follow-up plans for patients
Multidisciplinary & Service Collaboration
Work closely with neurosurgery, internal medicine, rehabilitation, radiology, and critical care teams
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions
Provide specialist input and guidance to referring physicians
Quality, Education & Governance
Ensure compliance with clinical governance, patient safety, and regulatory standards
Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education
Contribute to teaching, supervision, and mentoring of junior medical staff
Desired Candidate Profile
Medical degree from a recognized institution
Board certification or specialist qualification in Neurology
Minimum 5 years of post-specialist consultant-level experience (pathway dependent)
Eligibility for licensure with DOH (Abu Dhabi Department of Health)
Strong communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage)
Experience in stroke medicine, epilepsy, or neurophysiology
Exposure to acute stroke units and thrombolysis / thrombectomy pathways
International training or experience (UK, Ireland, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, or equivalent)
Experience working in tertiary or teaching hospitals
Patient-centred with excellent clinical judgement
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
Ability to work effectively in a multicultural healthcare environment
Commitment to clinical excellence and continuous professional development
