As an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN), you take on a key role in advancing nursing practice.
Your responsibilities
Design and responsibility for the entire nursing process – from planning to evaluation
Conduct advanced clinical assessments and apply evidence-based interventions
Independent decision-making in complex nursing care situations
Consultation across sector boundaries, ensuring and facilitating treatment pathways
Education and support of patients and their relatives to promote self-management and self-help competence
Mentoring and guidance of nursing staff and professional colleagues
Furthermore, you make a significant contribution to nursing development and quality assurance through:
Development, implementation and evaluation of evidence-based concepts
Data collection and analysis to optimize nursing quality
Organization and moderation of multiprofessional case conferences
Participation in ethical decision-making processes
Conduct of on-the-job training and internal continuing education
Scientific publications and presentations at professional conferences
What you bring
Completed master's degree in Advanced Nursing Practice, Nursing Science or a comparable field
Multiple years of professional experience in direct patient care
Experience in implementing evidence-based nursing practice or in care projects
Sound specialized expertise in a focused area and confidence in managing complex nursing processes
Strong communication skills and teamwork ability in an interprofessional environment
Willingness to work across departments, high personal responsibility and enthusiasm for innovation
