The Role

An opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Senior Addiction Nurse within the Northeast Alcohol and Drug Recovery Service.

Glasgow Alcohol & Drug Recovery Service is committed to providing high quality care using an integrated model of care delivery. You would be working as part of a large team dealing with complex clients with drug and alcohol problems and associated physical and mental health problems. You will assume a supervisory role with junior members of staff. You will be expected to work closely with Children and Families and Justice social work services amongst others. You should be highly motivated and have excellent communication skills.

A First Level Registered Mental Health Nurse with post registration experience working within an addiction setting at Band 5 is highly desirable.

Within this advert we also have an opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated RGN /RMN to undertake the role of the band 6 alcohol Assertive outreach nurse- this post requires an excellent knowledge base, skills and experience in working with difficult to engage service users, experience of home supported detox's and the ability to complete Fibro scan's is highly desirable. Knowledge of physical health, co morbidities care planning is also desirable.
