Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is the interface between medicine and dentistry. The MKG ward therefore has a varied field of activity. The spectrum is very diverse. We treat injuries in the oral, jaw and facial area, malignant and benign tumors, procedures of plastic and reconstructive surgery as well as primary and corrective operations for cleft lip, jaw and palate clefts at any age. The ward has 20-24 patient beds. You are responsible for the care of pre- and postoperative patients. One focus is same-day surgical procedures and a second focus is oncological patients.

Your Area of Responsibility

Patient care in three-shift system

Assessment and determination of individual patient care needs and care on the ward

Support and assistance in coping with the consequences of illness and functional impairment

Implementation of individual care processes and support of ward operations

Monitoring of vital functions

Ensuring and maintaining digital care process documentation

Postoperative care on the ward

Your Profile

Completed three-year training as a nursing specialist

Oncological advanced training is desirable, alternatively oncological advanced training will be offered

Joy and self-evident collaboration in a multiprofessional team

Interest in caring for oncological patients

Sense of responsibility and willingness to further develop
