About The Opportunity
We're partnering with a kaupapa Māori health provider delivering high-quality primary and community care across the Waikato. This is a full-time NP /GP opportunity, primarily based in Huntly, within a supportive, values-led environment focused on whānau-centred care.
Whilst this is a sole practioner role, you'll be joining a well-established multidisciplinary team of NPs/GPs, nurses and allied health professionals across the network, all committed to equity, continuity of care and culturally responsive practice. Clinics operate Monday to Friday, 8.30am-5.00pm - no weekends.
What You'll Be Doing
Deliver comprehensive primary care services including assessment, diagnosis and treatment
Work closely with patients and whānau to support long-term health and wellbeing
Order, review and action diagnostic tests in a timely manner
Provide continuity of care and manage ongoing health needs
Refer to and collaborate with other providers when required
Support preventative care through health education and lifestyle advice
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure best-practice, patient-focused care

What We're Looking For
Registration with the Medical Council or Nursing Council of New Zealand and a current APC
Ideally 3-5 years' experience as a GP or NP in primary care
Strong clinical skills with a patient- and whānau-centred approach
Experience working with diverse communities
Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
Minor surgery skills and experience with Medtech (or similar) preferred
Full NZ driver's licence and ability to travel within the Waikato
Legal right to work in New Zealand
Familiarity with Te Reo Māori and tikanga Māori is highly regarded but not essential.
