About the Job

Doukas School is seeking a Nurse for the school's First Aid Station. The primary responsibility is the care of students and the immediate management of health incidents during the school day.

The role is linked to the daily operation of the school and requires responsibility, composure, and organizational consistency in an environment that prioritizes children's safety.

Responsibilities:

~Assess health incidents and provide necessary nursing care according to current medical guidelines.

~Provide first aid and arrange for transport to a medical center when deemed necessary.

~Ensure the smooth operation of the First Aid Station (organization, cleanliness, adequacy of materials and medications).

~Maintain and update student health records as well as the visitor log.

~Communicate directly with parents/guardians regarding health incidents or accidents.

~Support the implementation of preventive check-ups (e.g., dental, pediatric) and relevant parent briefings.

~Monitor inventory and organize the procurement of medications and consumables.

~Prepare first aid kits for field trips and sports activities and brief chaperones on students' special needs.

~Participate in supporting Summer Camp activities, ensuring the safety and health of the children.

~Manage communication with the insurance company for incidents when required.

Necessary Qualifications:

~Degree in Nursing (University/Tei or certified Vocational Training Institute/IEK).

~Previous experience in a health facility or an environment with children.

~Ability to manage emergencies with composure and accuracy.

~Adherence to confidentiality and professional ethics.

Desired Qualifications:

~Experience in a school environment.

~First Aid Certification (Pediatric First Aid).
