Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Demonstrate strong knowledge of occupational health and industrial hygiene principles.
Understand oil and gas work environments, especially field and plant operations.
Establish and lead a new Occupational Health Department, including administrative and clinical functions.
Develop and implement occupational health programs and policies.
Conduct health assessments and monitor the well-being of employees.
Collaborate with safety teams to promote a culture of health and safety.
Provide training on health and safety practices.
Stay updated on industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor s degree in Occupational Health, Public Health, Environmental Health, or a related field.
Master s degree in Occupational Health or Safety (preferred).
Certifications
Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) or equivalent certification.
OSHA certification or similar safety training.
Additional certifications in Industrial Hygiene or Health & Safety Management (preferred).
Experience
Minimum of 10+ years of experience in occupational health, preferably in the oil and gas sector.
Proficiency with occupational health software, data management systems, and Microsoft Office.
Experience in developing and managing health programs and conducting risk assessments.
Familiarity with regulatory compliance and industry standards.
Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent English communication and reporting skills (Arabic is an asset).
Ability to work in high-pressure environments.
