About the Role
The Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon will be responsible for diagnosing and treating conditions related to the mouth, jaws, and face within a government healthcare setting. This role involves performing a variety of surgical procedures, including tooth extractions, jaw surgeries, and trauma care. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and adherence to government regulations and standards will be essential to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Responsibilities
Evaluate patients' oral and maxillofacial health through comprehensive assessments
Develop and implement individualized surgical treatment plans
Perform complex surgical procedures, including extractions, implants, and reconstructive surgeries
Manage oral diseases and related complications in alignment with government protocols
Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to deliver integrated patient care
Provide detailed post-operative care and follow-up assessments
Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with advancements in the field
Requirements
Medical degree (MD or DMD) with specialized training in oral and maxillofacial surgery
Significant experience in performing a variety of oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures
Strong knowledge of surgical techniques and practices relevant to government healthcare settings
Thorough understanding of oral and maxillofacial anatomy, pathology, and treatment options
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and staff
Attention to detail and capability to manage complex medical cases
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
