Key Responsibilities
Clinical Responsibilities
Provide consultant-level diagnosis, treatment, and surgical management of ENT conditions
Perform a wide range of elective and emergency ENT procedures, including head and neck cases (as per subspecialty expertise)
Manage outpatient clinics, inpatient care, and operating theatre lists
Participate in on-call and emergency ENT services
Leadership & Service Development
Provide clinical leadership within the ENT department
Support departmental planning, pathway development, and service expansion
Contribute to workforce planning, mentoring, and performance development of junior medical staff
Lead or participate in clinical governance, audits, and quality improvement programs
Multidisciplinary & Academic Role
Collaborate with anesthesiology, radiology, oncology, pediatrics, speech therapy, and other specialties
Participate in teaching, training, and supervision of residents, specialists, and allied health professionals
Support research activities, protocol development, and evidence-based practice
Skills & Competencies
Advanced surgical and clinical expertise in ENT
Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex cases
Commitment to patient safety, quality outcomes, and ethical practice
Desired Candidate Profile
Mandatory Requirements
Medical degree from a recognized institution
Board Certification / CCT / Specialist Certification in Otolaryngology (ENT)
Minimum 8 10 years of post-qualification experience, including consultant-level practice
Proven leadership experience (e.g., Head of Unit, Clinical Lead, Program Director, or equivalent)
Eligibility for DOH (Abu Dhabi) Consultant License
Desirable
Subspecialty expertise (e.g., Head & Neck Surgery, Otology, Rhinology, Pediatric ENT, Laryngology)
Experience in tertiary or high-volume surgical centers
International board certification (UK, US, European, Arab Board, or equivalent)
