Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Specialist Paediatric Intensivist to join a well-established Paediatric Intensive Care Unit in Al Ain. The role involves delivering high-quality critical care to pediatric patients under the supervision of Consultant staff, while contributing to safe, evidence-based, and patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities Clinical Responsibilities

Provide specialist-level care to critically ill pediatric patients admitted to the PICU

Perform detailed clinical assessments, diagnosis, and management plans in collaboration with Consultants

Manage ventilated patients, hemodynamic monitoring, and organ support therapies

Participate in emergency response, rapid response teams, and resuscitation services

Take part in on-call and shift duties as per departmental rota

Teamwork & Communication

Work closely with Consultants, residents, nurses, and allied health professionals

Communicate effectively with patients families regarding treatment plans and progress

Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with hospital policies and DOH regulations

Education & Quality Improvement

Support teaching and supervision of junior doctors and nursing staff

Participate in audits, morbidity and mortality meetings, and quality improvement initiatives

Engage in continuing medical education and professional development activities

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications & Experience Mandatory Requirements

Medical degree from a recognized medical school

Specialist Certification in Paediatric Intensive Care Medicine or Paediatrics with PICU training

Minimum 3 5 years of post-qualification experience, including PICU experience

Eligibility for DOH (Abu Dhabi) Specialist License

Desirable

Experience in tertiary-care or high-acuity PICU settings

International board certification or equivalent recognized qualification

Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills

Skills & Competencies
