Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill pediatric cardiac patients in the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (PCICU).

• Monitor and assess patients’ vital signs, cardiac rhythms, oxygen saturation, hemodynamic status, and overall condition, reporting any significant changes immediately.

• Operate and monitor advanced life-support equipment such as ventilators, cardiac monitors, infusion pumps, and other critical care devices.

• Administer medications, IV therapies, and specialized cardiac treatments as prescribed by physicians.

• Assist physicians during emergency procedures, cardiac interventions, and post-operative care following pediatric cardiac surgery.

• Manage patients with congenital heart defects, post-cardiac surgery recovery, heart failure, and other complex cardiac conditions.

• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans in collaboration with cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress.

• Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols, patient safety standards, and hospital policies.

• Provide emotional support, education, and guidance to patients’ families regarding treatment plans, recovery, and ongoing care.

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, case discussions, and continuous professional development.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent qualification.

• Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Pediatric ICU, Pediatric Cardiac ICU, or Neonatal/Pediatric Critical Care in a hospital setting.

• Valid nursing license from home country.

• Eligibility for nursing license in Dubai (DHA eligibility, license, or willingness to obtain).

• Strong knowledge of pediatric cardiac conditions, post-operative cardiac care, and critical care procedures.

• Experience in monitoring pediatric cardiac patients and operating advanced critical care equipment.

• Excellent clinical assessment, communication, and teamwork skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure critical care environment.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.

• Experience in tertiary care or internationally accredited hospitals is an advantage.

• Willing to work in Dubai, UAE.
