Roles & Responsibilities

Clinical Duties

Conduct routine child health check-ups

Monitor growth and developmental milestones

Diagnose and treat common childhood illnesses (respiratory infections, gastroenteritis, asthma, allergies, etc.)

Manage chronic pediatric conditions

Provide emergency pediatric care when required

Interpret laboratory tests and imaging reports

Preventive Care

Administer vaccinations as per national immunization schedule

Provide nutritional guidance and breastfeeding counseling

Offer anticipatory guidance to parents regarding child safety and development

Conduct school health assessments

Hospital Responsibilities (if applicable)

Manage admitted pediatric patients

Attend neonatal resuscitation and deliveries (if required)

Coordinate with NICU/PICU teams

Maintain accurate medical documentation

Collaboration

Work with nurses, neonatologists, pediatric subspecialists, dietitians, and social workers

Refer patients to specialists when necessary

Strong communication skills with children and parents

Patience and empathy

Clinical decision-making skills

Knowledge of child development

Ability to manage pediatric emergencies

Teamwork and collaboration

Valid Medical License DHA/MOH/DOH
