Job description
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate PICU Nurse to join a leading healthcare organization in Dubai. The PICU Nurse will be responsible for providing specialized critical care to infants, children, and adolescents with serious and life-threatening conditions. The ideal candidate must have strong clinical expertise in pediatric critical care and the ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment while ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and care.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
Monitor and assess patients’ vital signs, neurological status, and overall condition, and report any changes immediately.
Operate and monitor advanced life-support equipment, including ventilators, cardiac monitors, and infusion pumps.
Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
Assist physicians during emergency procedures and critical interventions.
Develop and implement individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary medical team.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care, treatment plans, and progress.
Ensure compliance with infection control policies, safety standards, and healthcare regulations.
Provide emotional support and guidance to patients’ families and caregivers.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuous professional development.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent qualification.
Minimum 2 years of recent PICU or Pediatric Critical Care experience in a hospital setting.
Valid nursing license from home country.
Eligibility for nursing license in Dubai (DHA eligibility, license, or willingness to obtain).
Strong knowledge of pediatric critical care procedures and equipment.
Excellent clinical, communication, and teamwork skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
Experience in tertiary care or accredited hospitals is an advantage.
Willing to work in Dubai.
