Key responsibilities
Conduct detailed patient evaluations to create individualized radiation treatment protocols.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including medical oncologists, surgeons, and nursing staff, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Administer radiation therapy while closely monitoring patient responses and making necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
Provide thorough education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding treatment options and procedures.
Maintain accurate and compliant records of patient treatments and outcomes.
Participate in clinical research initiatives to advance practices in radiation oncology.
Stay current with the latest advancements in the field and integrate best practices into routine care.
Requirements
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from a recognized institution
Board certification in Radiation Oncology is mandatory
Valid medical license to practice in the respective state
A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in radiation oncology
Strong understanding of radiation therapy technologies and treatment planning
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for patient interactions
Able to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary healthcare environment
Commitment to ongoing education and professional development in oncology
Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus
