Summary of Responsibilities
As a Registered Nurse, you will ensure the delivery of professional nursing care to a patient or group of patients using evidence-based nursing practice. You will maintain a therapeutic and professional relationship by collaborating with the patient, their loved ones, and members of the interprofessional team to plan, implement, and evaluate care while respecting the patient's needs, values, and beliefs.
Requirements Profile
Hold a Certificate of Registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario;
Hold a CPR certificate (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), Basic Life Support (BLS) level;
Be able to communicate in both official languages (French/English) at an intermediate level.
Candidates will be considered based on the requirements profile in the following order:
First priority: Candidates with one (1) year of experience in perinatal care (neonatal and/or intrapartum).
Second priority: Candidates with six (6) months of experience in perinatality (neonatal, intrapartum, postpartum, perioperative care) and/or as a lactation consultant.
Third priority: Candidates with six (6) months of experience in critical care (ER, ICU, recovery room) or surgery.
Conditions
The candidate must have up-to-date NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) training or be enrolled in a course to obtain it.
The candidate must maintain up-to-date NRP training.
The candidate agrees to work in two unit specialties (obstetric and postpartum care or neonatal intermediate and postpartum care).
