Te Korowai Atawhai (Mercy Hospice) is seeking a staff member to work as a Registered Nurse.

Te tūranga / The Role
As a Community Palliative Care (CPC) Nurse, you will:
Provide comprehensive nursing assessment, care planning, and symptom management for people with life‑limiting illnesses in the community.
Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team and other health care members to deliver coordinated, high-quality, holistic palliative care.
Promote comfort, choice, and quality of life while respecting individual values and wishes.
Provide support and education to other members of a patient’s health care team, including practice nurses, district nurses, and aged residential care facilities.
Contribute to after‑hours/on‑call services as part of a supportive roster.

Permanent part-time role: 32 hours per week (0.8 FTE).

Ngā pūkenga e hiahiatia / Skills You’ll Bring
Current NZ Annual Practising Certificate.
Minimum 2 years’ nursing experience (palliative care, community, oncology, aged care, or primary care preferred).
A compassionate, culturally responsive, and patient‑centered approach.
Strong assessment, clinical reasoning, and communication skills.
Adaptability and the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively.
Computer literacy and a current full NZ Drivers Licence.
