Job Summary And Requirements

This competition is to fill (2) permanent positions working 75 hours biweekly.

We are excited, and delighted, to be seeking two experienced registered nurses who can support both students and educators in ensuring health needs are met for inclusion at school. This is a new position and we are looking for nurses who are interested in developing both the position and supports to be the very best they can be, from a medical and educational inclusivity perspective.

As a Registered Nurse Consultant with the Student Support Services team, you will be an essential and valued member of the Student Support Services team, working collaboratively with schools and families to ensure the well-being, inclusion and success of students living with chronic and sometimes life-limiting medical conditions.

You will develop and implement medical support plans, coordinate with healthcare professionals, facilitate and provide training for staff, and provide ongoing quality assurance guidance to students, families, and school staff in the implementation and oversight of these support plans and trainings. You will also be regularly consulted and expected to provide your perspective and input as this program develops.

It is essential that the Registered Nurse Consultant recognise and focus on the strengths, beauty and resilience of learners and their families while providing the supports they need to work towards their own educational goals and participate in their school communities.

If you have questions, we strongly encourage you to reach out to the contacts below – we are a very welcoming and enthusiastic team and we would love to hear from you to discuss any questions you may have.
