Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Staff Nurse to join our team in Drogheda. The successful candidate will provide high-quality, person-centred care in line with professional standards, HIQA regulations, and organisational policies. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care while promoting dignity, independence, and wellbeing for all residents.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care
Provide person-centred care tailored to individual resident needs
Administer medications and treatments in accordance with best practice
Conduct comprehensive assessments on admission and ongoing reviews
Develop and update individualised care plans
Monitor residents’ conditions and respond to changes promptly
Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation
Liaise with GPs and the multidisciplinary team
Supervise and support healthcare assistants
Ensure a safe, clean, and supportive environment for residents
Accurately report incidents, accidents, and clinical concerns
Participate in audits and quality improvement initiatives
Provide clear and concise handover reports at the end of each shift
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues
Follow organisational policies and professional guidelines at all times
Requirements:
Registered with NMBI
Strong clinical, communication, and organisational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexibility and a proactive approach to work
Must be Stamp 4/Stamp 1g or Irish resident
Desirable:
Experience in elderly care or residential settings
Knowledge of HIQA standards
Previous supervisory experience
