Key responsibilities
Conduct thorough assessments of patients, including detailed medical histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests to accurately diagnose rheumatic conditions.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that cater to each patient's unique needs, incorporating both medication management and holistic approaches.
Perform necessary procedures, such as joint injections and arthrocentesis, to alleviate symptoms and improve function.
Provide education to patients and their families about rheumatic diseases and their management, promoting informed decision-making.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for patients.
Engage in ongoing research activities within the field of rheumatology to contribute to the advancement of patient care practices.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Foster a supportive and empathetic environment that prioritizes patient comfort and well-being.
Requirements
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical institution
Board certification in rheumatology
Active medical license in the relevant state
A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in rheumatology
Comprehensive knowledge of rheumatologic diseases and evidence-based treatment strategies
Strong communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients
Collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Commitment to ongoing education and staying up-to-date with advances in rheumatology
Fluency in English; proficiency in other languages is a plus
