Roles & Responsibilities

The service provided is a Primary Healthcare service based on a UK General Practice model. They cover all aspects of Primary Healthcare including GP appointments, minor illness management, minor injury management, chronic disease management plus an element of Occupational Health surveillance.

The service is only open to expatriate employees and their dependants who are employed by BAE Systems or our Key Partner Companies in Saudi Arabia. The majority of the employees are European Expatriates plus, Canadian and Australians.

The core hours of work are Sunday to Thursday 07:00 to 17:00 all of the Nursing staff work those 5 days a week with 1 lieu day off a month.

Another key aspect of the service provision is that the Nursing Staff cover a 24 hour emergency on-call service, there are 2 nurses on-call 24/7 365 days a year, all of the nursing staff must participate in the on-call service provision without exception.

The first on-call nurse carries a mobile phone to receive calls and deals with these as appropriate, in the event of advice being required or transporting a patient to hospital for further assessment / management you would call the second nurse on call for assistance.

This is an absolute requirement and staff must be willing and able to cover this service, a full driving license is also required. When fully staffed it is anticipated that each nurse would cover no more 2 weeks a month of on-call, obviously this changes with annual leave and absences as required.

There is an on-call allowance for each week covered that is additional to monthly salary payments.

Desired Candidate Profile

Primary nursing qualification should be at the Degree level.

At least four years fill time nursing experience in any acute area ideally ICU or Emergency or be an

ANP in Primary Care.
