Overview

The Care Support Associate supports nursing staff in delivering patient‑centred care through clinical, operational, and ward support duties.

Job Responsibilities

Support Registered Nurses (RNs) and Enrolled Nurses (ENs) in the delivery of safe, timely, and quality patient care in inpatient wards

Provide direct patient care, including personal hygiene, elimination needs, feeding assistance, repositioning, and mobility support

Perform and accurately document patients’ vital signs and basic clinical observations

Assist in patient admissions, examinations, procedures, transfers, and discharges

Support nursing and clinical procedures, including wound care assistance, IV‑related support, bladder scans, and emergency response initiation

Coordinate ward activities such as bed management, patient movements, and visitor management

Provide basic patient and family education on ward orientation and infection control practices

Perform clerical and documentation support, including medical records handling and discharge‑related tasks

Requirements

Minimum NITEC / Higher NITEC / Diploma or equivalent

Good interpersonal and communication skills

Able to read, write, and converse in simple English

Willing to work 3 rotating shifts, including weekends and Public Holiday

Morning Shift: 8.00am end between 4.00pm to 6.00pm

Afternoon Shift: start between 11.00am to 1.00pm and end between 7.00pm to 9.00pm

Night Shift: 8.00pm to 8.00am
