SearchPlus HR is excited to announce a unique opportunity for a specialist cardiac surgeon in the government hospital sector. In this role, you will have the chance to make a significant impact on public health by providing high-quality cardiac care to a diverse patient population.
Key responsibilities:
Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with complex heart conditions through advanced surgical interventions.
Perform a variety of cardiac surgical procedures, including but not limited to coronary artery bypass grafting, heart valve repair/replacement, and transplant surgeries.
Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including cardiologists, nurses, and allied health professionals, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Manage pre-operative and post-operative care, ensuring optimal recovery and addressing any complications.
Engage in patient education and support, helping patients and their families understand surgical procedures and recovery processes.
Participate in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing surgical outcomes.
Stay current with advancements in cardiac surgery and adhere to best practices and government regulations.
Requirements
Qualifications:
MD or equivalent medical degree with valid certification in cardiac surgery.
Completion of residency and fellowship training in cardiothoracic surgery.
Demonstrated experience in performing complex cardiac surgeries in a clinical setting.
In-depth knowledge of cardiovascular health, surgical techniques, and patient management.
Strong leadership and communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams and patient counseling.
Adept at managing high-pressure situations in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Commitment to public health and dedication to serving diverse patient populations.
Continuous professional development and active participation in relevant medical organizations.
