SearchPlus HR is representing a leading government healthcare facility that is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated specialist in colon and rectal surgery. This position offers you the opportunity to provide high-quality surgical care in a supportive and well-equipped environment, serving a diverse patient population.
As a specialist in colon and rectal surgery, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of conditions affecting the colon, rectum, and anus. Your expertise will play a vital role in improving patient outcomes through surgical intervention and comprehensive care.
Responsibilities:
Perform surgical procedures related to colon and rectal disorders, including minimally invasive techniques when appropriate
Diagnose conditions through patient evaluations, diagnostic tests, and medical history assessments
Develop individualized treatment plans for patients, including non-surgical and surgical options
Provide preoperative and postoperative care to ensure optimal recovery and patient outcomes
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including gastroenterologists and oncologists, to provide multidisciplinary care
Manage and supervise clinical staff in the surgical department
Engage in patient education regarding treatment options and preventive measures
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
Participate in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives within the facility
Requirements
Board certification in colon and rectal surgery
Demonstrated experience in performing colon and rectal surgical procedures
Strong knowledge of surgical techniques and postoperative care
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients and families
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment
Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and ongoing professional development
