Key responsibilities:

Conduct detailed assessments and diagnose dental issues specific to children.

Develop individualized treatment plans based on comprehensive assessments.

Perform a range of dental procedures, including cleanings, fillings, and extractions, with a focus on child-friendly techniques.

Educate children and parents about proper dental hygiene practices and preventive care.

Utilize effective behavior management strategies to create a positive dental experience.

Monitor the development and growth of children’s dental structures and refer to specialists when necessary.

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care for children.

Stay current with new research and developments in pediatric dentistry through continuing education.

Requirements

Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree.

Completion of a residency in pediatric dentistry.

Active, valid state license to practice dentistry.

Experience in a pediatric dental setting is preferred.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with children and their families.
