In this pivotal role, you will administer emergency medical care to pediatric patients confronting acute medical conditions and traumas. You will be an integral part of a high-energy team dedicated to providing exceptional healthcare services to children in critical situations.

Key responsibilities:

Perform quick and thorough assessments of pediatric patients in emergency cases.

Diagnose and manage a variety of acute medical issues and injuries affecting children.

Stabilize patients and assess the need for specialized treatments or interventions.

Execute essential procedures, including intubations, suturing, and IV line placements.

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive and effective patient care.

Engage with families, clearly relaying information and providing support throughout their child's emergency care.

Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and outcomes in electronic medical records.

Contribute to the training and mentorship of junior medical staff and residents in the pediatric emergency setting.

Requirements

MD/DO degree with completion of a pediatric residency and a fellowship in pediatric emergency medicine.

Board certification in pediatric emergency medicine or eligibility for board certification.

Active medical license to practice in the relevant jurisdiction.

Extensive clinical experience in a pediatric emergency department setting.

Strong analytical and decision-making skills, particularly in high-pressure scenarios.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in working with children and their families.

Team-oriented attitude with the ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals.

Commitment to continuous professional development and staying abreast of pediatric emergency medicine advancements.

Proficient in the use of electronic medical record systems and healthcare technologies.
